Accounts and roles

The panel has three levels, like the big hosting panels.

• Administrator: manages the server and every account, creates resellers and packages.
• Reseller: creates and manages their own clients, with their own packages and brand, within a quota.
• User: manages only their own sites: files, databases, cron, SFTP, backups, HTTPS, PHP version and PHP settings.

Accounts and sites

An account is an access to the panel with the user role. An account can have several sites; every site keeps running as its own isolated system user, so sites cannot read each other's files, not even those of the same account.

Databases, scheduled tasks, SFTP access and backups belong to the site, and therefore to the site's account. A user sees only what is theirs: for everything else the panel answers as if it did not exist.

Sites created before version 0.5 belong to the administrators: on the site page, under Account, the administrator can assign them to an account.

Creating an account

1. Open Accounts (for resellers: My clients) and press New account.
2. Choose username, email and package. The administrator can also assign the account to a reseller.
3. Choose how to give the password:
   • Send the “set password” link: the client receives an email with a link to choose their password. The link is valid for 48 hours and can be used once. If system emails are not configured, the panel shows you the link to send yourself.
   • Generate a password: you see it only once and give it to the client yourself. The welcome email never contains the password.

From the ⋯ button of every account you can change package and email, send a new password link or generate a new password, suspend or delete the account.

Deleting an account that has sites needs one more confirmation: its sites are deleted with files and databases.

Language

Everyone chooses their own language on the Your account page (Italian or English); the choice is saved in the account and also applies to the emails. Whoever has not chosen sees the server default language set by the administrator, or the language of their browser. See Language.

Space used

The space of every account (site files plus databases) is measured every 15 minutes. When an account goes above 90% of its package space, the account and its reseller receive an email (at most one a day). With the space full no new sites or databases can be created; existing sites keep working.
