Notifications on Slack, Discord and Telegram

Administrators receive the important alerts of the server right in their chat: Slack, Discord or Telegram. They are set up where webhooks are created (API keys › Webhooks), choosing the destination; each administrator has their own.

What arrives

Event When
server.service_down / server.service_up a service of the server (nginx, PHP-FPM, MariaDB, mail, DNS…) stopped and systemd cannot restart it; then when it is back
backup.failed the backup of a site failed
antimalware.found the antimalware found suspicious files in a site (with how many are already quarantined)
ssl.expiring the HTTPS certificate of a site expires within 14 days (and again at 3) because the automatic renewal did not work
panel.update_available a new version of the panel is out
panel.error an operation of the panel failed because of an internal error (at most once an hour per kind of error)

These events are for administrators only. You can pick them one by one or receive all events, including those of accounts and sites (accounts created, suspended, over quota, sites created or deleted), which arrive in the chats as a sentence.

Slack

In Slack: Apps › Incoming Webhooks › Add to Slack, pick the channel and copy the address (https://hooks.slack.com/services/…). In the panel choose the Slack destination and paste it.

Discord

In the channel settings: Integrations › Webhooks › New Webhook › Copy Webhook URL (https://discord.com/api/webhooks/…). In the panel choose Discord and paste it.

Telegram

  1. Message @BotFather on Telegram, create a bot (/newbot) and copy its token (for example 123456789:AA…).
  2. Add the bot to the group or channel that should receive the alerts (as an administrator in a channel).
  3. Find the chat ID: for a group it is a negative number (for example with @userinfobot or @RawDataBot), for a public channel you can use @channelname.
  4. In the panel choose Telegram and enter token and ID.

Press Test to receive a message right away. The bot token and the secret address of Slack and Discord are not shown again after saving; failed messages are retried like the other webhooks and stay in the deliveries list.
