Team
With the Team (like cPanel's Team Manager) you give collaborators access to the panel, for example a web agency, a developer or whoever handles the mail, without giving away the password of your account. Each person signs in with their own name and password and only sees the sections you choose. You find it in the menu, under Team.
Adding a person
Write a user name, a password (at least 12 characters) and, if you like, an email; then choose the sections. You give the password to the person yourself: they can change it and turn on passkeys and an authenticator app from their Account page. You can add up to 20 people.
The sections
- Sites: site settings, apps, rules, application firewall, statistics and logs, new sites and migrations;
- Files, SFTP and FTP: file manager and file access;
- Databases: MySQL/MariaDB and PostgreSQL, remote access too;
- Mail: mailboxes, forwarders and mail domains;
- DNS: zones and records;
- WordPress;
- Backups;
- Scheduled tasks (cron).
Everyone sees the list of sites and their page, disk usage, the news and their own profile. Tabs and menu items of the sections not given don't appear, and the panel refuses any operation outside the chosen sections anyway.
What stays yours
Team members don't see and can't change your account (password, email, plan), API keys, billing and the team itself, and can't enter other accounts. In the Activity their operations appear with their name.
You can change the sections at any time (they apply from the next request), give a new password (it closes the person's open sessions) or remove a person from the team. If your account is suspended, the team can't sign in either; if the account is deleted, the team goes with it. When an account is moved to another server the team doesn't follow it: create it again there.
